This guide is designed to be super easy to follow, even if you're not tech-savvy. We'll help you switch from the default local account to your own Microsoft account and get you connected to OneDrive.

๐ ๏ธ What You'll Need
- Your computer running the brand-new Windows 11 we installed for you ๐ฅ๏ธ
- An existing Microsoft account or the details to create one ๐ง
- Internet access ๐

๐ Let's Get Started!

Step 1๏ธโฃ: Open Settings
- Look for a button at the bottom-left corner of your screen. It should look like a little window made of four squares. That's the
Start
button! - Click on it, and then look for a gear-shaped icon โ๏ธ that says
Settings
next to it. Click on that to open the Windows Settings app.

Step 2๏ธโฃ: Navigate to Accounts
- In the Settings window, find and click on the option that says

at the top of the list.

Step 3๏ธโฃ: Make the Switch
- Under
Your info
, you'll see an option that saysSign in with a Microsoft account instead
. Click on that ๐ฑ๏ธ. - A new window will appear, asking for your Microsoft account details. If you don't have one, you can create one by clicking
Create account

Step 4๏ธโฃ: Microsoft Account Details
- Type in your Microsoft email address and password ๐.

Step 5๏ธโฃ: Verify It's You!
- Microsoft will send a code to your email or phone ๐ฑ.
- Type in the code and click

- You might see an option to set up a PIN for extra security ๐.
- Follow the on-screen steps to set up a PIN or skip this part.

Step 7๏ธโฃ: Confirm Local Account Info
- You'll be asked for your current Windows local account password,ย there's no password, leave this blank ๐ซ.

- Review everything and click

- Find the OneDrive icon from the Start menu or at the bottom-right corner of your screen.
- Sign in with your Microsoft account if it doesn't do it automatically.
- Follow the steps to set up your OneDrive folders ๐.
